The Ark Brought to Jerusalem
1. Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

2. And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.
2. Et David, avec tout le peuple qui était auprès de lui, se mit en marche depuis Baalé Juda, pour faire monter de là l`arche de Dieu, devant laquelle est invoqué le nom de l`Éternel des armées qui réside entre les chérubins au-dessus de l`arche.

3. And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.
3. "Ils mirent sur un char neuf l`arche de Dieu, et l`emportèrent de la maison d`Abinadab sur la colline; Uzza et Achjo, fils d`Abinadab, conduisaient le char neuf."
3. "Ary nataony teo amin' ny sarety vaovao ny fiaran' Andriamanitra ka nentiny avy tao an-tranon' i Abinadaba izay tao Gibea; ary Oza sy Ahio, zanak' i Abinadaba no nampandeha ny sarety vaovao."
4. And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.
4. "Ils l`emportèrent donc de la maison d`Abinadab sur la colline; Uzza marchait à côté de l`arche de Dieu, et Achjo allait devant l`arche."
4. "Ary dia nentiny niala tao an-tranon' i Abinadaba tao Gibea, niaraka tamin' ny fiaran' Andriamanitra izany; ary Ahio nandeha teo alohan' ny fiara."
5. And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
5. David et toute la maison d`Israël jouaient devant l`Éternel de toutes sortes d`instruments de bois de cyprès, des harpes, des luths, des tambourins, des sistres et des cymbales.
5. Ary Davida sy ny taranak' Isiraely rehetra nitendry, teo anatrehan' i Jehovah, ny karazan-java-maneno rehetra natao tamin' ny hazo kypreso, dia tamin' ny harpa sy ny valiha sy ny ampongatapaka sy ny korintsana ary ny kipantsona.
6. And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
6. Lorsqu`ils furent arrivés à l`aire de Nacon, Uzza étendit la main vers l`arche de Dieu et la saisit, parce que les boeufs la faisaient pencher.

7. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
7. La colère de l`Éternel s`enflamma contre Uzza, et Dieu le frappa sur place à cause de sa faute. Uzza mourut là, près de l`arche de Dieu.
7. "Dia nirehitra tamin' i Oza ny fahatezeran' i Jehovah; ary namely azy teo Andriamanitra noho ny fahadisoany, ka dia maty teo anilan' ny fiaran' Andriamanitra izy."
8. And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
8. David fut irrité de ce que l`Éternel avait frappé Uzza d`un tel châtiment. Et ce lieu a été appelé jusqu`à ce jour Pérets Uzza.
8. Ary tsy faly Davida noho ny namelezan' i Jehovah an' i Oza, ka dia nataony hoe Perez-oza ny anaran' izany toerana izany mandraka androany.
9. And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?
9. David eut peur de l`Éternel en ce jour-là, et il dit: Comment l`arche de l`Éternel entrerait-elle chez moi?
9. Ary Davida natahotra an' i Jehovah tamin' izany andro izany ka nanao hoe: Nahoana no entina aty amiko ny fiaran' i Jehovah?
10. So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
10. Il ne voulut pas retirer l`arche de l`Éternel chez lui dans la cité de David, et il la fit conduire dans la maison d`Obed Édom de Gath.
10. "Ary Davida dia tsy nety namindra ny fiaran' i Jehovah ho ao aminy ao an-Tanànan' i Davida; fa naviliny ho ao an-tranon' i Obed-edoma Gatita."
11. And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.
11. L`arche de l`Éternel resta trois mois dans la maison d`Obed Édom de Gath, et l`Éternel bénit Obed Édom et toute sa maison.
11. "Ary nipetraka telo volana tao an-tranon' i Obed-edoma Gatita ny fiaran' i Jehovah; ka dia notahian' i Jehovah i Obed-edoma sy ny ankohonany rehetra."
12. And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
12. On vint dire au roi David: L`Éternel a béni la maison d`Obed Édom et tout ce qui est à lui, à cause de l`arche de Dieu. Et David se mit en route, et il fit monter l`arche de Dieu depuis la maison d`Obed Édom jusqu`à la cité de David, au milieu des réjouissances.
12. Ary nambara tamin' i Davida mpanjaka hoe: Jehovah efa nitahy ny ankohonan' i Obed-edoma sy izay nananany rehetra noho ny fiaran' Andriamanitra. dia nandeha i Davida ka nampakatra ny fiaran' Andriamanitra tamim-pifaliana avy tao an-tranon' i Obed-edoma ho any an-Tanànan' i Davida.
13. And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
13. Quand ceux qui portaient l`arche de l`Éternel eurent fait six pas, on sacrifia un boeuf et un veau gras.

14. And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
14. David dansait de toute sa force devant l`Éternel, et il était ceint d`un éphod de lin.
14. Ary Davida nitsinjaka tamin' ny heriny rehetra teo anatrehan' i Jehovah sady nisalotra efoda hariry madinika.
15. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
15. David et toute la maison d`Israël firent monter l`arche de l`Éternel avec des cris de joie et au son des trompettes.
15. Ary Davida sy ny taranak' Isiraely rehetra nampakatra ny fiaran' i Jehovah tamin' ny hoby sy ny feon' ny anjomara.
16. And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
16. Comme l`arche de l`Éternel entrait dans la cité de David, Mical, fille de Saül, regardait par la fenêtre, et, voyant le roi David sauter et danser devant l`Éternel, elle le méprisa dans son coeur.
16. "Ary nony tonga tao an-Tanànan' i Davida ny fiaran' i Jehovah, dia nitsirika teo am-baravarankely Mikala, zanakavavin' i Saoly ka nahita an' i Davida mpanjaka nitsambikimbikina sy nitsinjaka teo anatrehan' i Jehovah; ary dia nikizaka azy tao am-pony izy."
17. And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
17. "Après qu`on eut amené l`arche de l`Éternel, on la mit à sa place au milieu de la tente que David avait dressée pour elle; et David offrit devant l`Éternel des holocaustes et des sacrifices d`actions de grâces."
17. "Ary nampiditra ny fiaran' i Jehovah ny olona ka nametraka azy teo amin' ny fitoerany teo afovoan' ny tabernakely izay naorin' i Davida ho an' izany; ary Davida nanolotra fanatitra dorana sy fanati-pihavanana teo anatrehan' i Jehovah."
18. And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
18. Quand David eut achevé d`offrir les holocaustes et les sacrifices d`actions de grâces, il bénit le peuple au nom de l`Éternel des armées.
18. Ary raha vao vitan' i Davida ny fanaterany ny fanatitra dorana sy ny fanati-pihavanana dia nitsodrano ny vahoaka tamin' ny anaran' i Jehovah Tompon' ny maro izy.
19. And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.
19. Puis il distribua à tout le peuple, à toute la multitude d`Israël, hommes et femmes, à chacun un pain, une portion de viande et un gâteau de raisins. Et tout le peuple s`en alla, chacun dans sa maison.
19. Ary nikarakara ny olona rehetra izy, dia ny vahoakan' ny Isiraely manontolo, ka nomeny mofo iray sy hena tsara iray didy ary divay iray tavoahangy kely avy ny olona rehetra, na lahy na vavy. Ary dia samy nody tany an-tranony avy ny olona rehetra.
20. Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
20. David s`en retourna pour bénir sa maison, et Mical, fille de Saül, sortit à sa rencontre. Elle dit: Quel honneur aujourd`hui pour le roi d`Israël de s`être découvert aux yeux des servantes de ses serviteurs, comme se découvrirait un homme de rien!
20. Ary Davida koa mba nody hitsodrano ny ankohonany. Fa i Mikala, zanakavavin' i Saoly, nivoaka nitsena an' i Davida ka nanao hoe: Akory ity voninahitry ny mpanjakan' ny Isiraely androany! ilay nanary lamba anikeheo teo imason' ny zanakavavin' ny mpanompony, tahaka ny adala manary lamba ka tsy manan-kenatra.
21. And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
21. David répondit à Mical: C`est devant l`Éternel, qui m`a choisi de préférence à ton père et à toute sa maison pour m`établir chef sur le peuple de l`Éternel, sur Israël, c`est devant l`Éternel que j`ai dansé.
21. Ary hoy kosa i Davida tamin' i Mikala: Teo anatrehan' i Jehovah, Izay nifidy ahy noho ny rainao sy ny ankohonany rehetra ka nanendry ahy ho mpanapaka ny Isiraely, olon' i Jehovah, eny, teo anatrehan' i Jehovah no nitsinjahako.
22. And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
22. "Je veux paraître encore plus vil que cela, et m`abaisser à mes propres yeux; néanmoins je serai en honneur auprès des servantes dont tu parles."
22. "Ary mbola hivazina kokoa noho izany aza aho, ka hataoko tsinontsinona ny tenako; nefa mbola hanam-boninahitra eo amin' ireo tovovavy izay nolazainao ireo aho."
23. Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
23. Or Mical, fille de Saül, n`eut point d`enfants jusqu`au jour de sa mort.
